Olympic referendum

The city of Hamburg applied for hosting Olympic Games 2024. For this, a referendum was held on 29 November 2015
in which the population of Hamburg could pronounce for or against an application. A major concern was the transformation of
the district Kleiner Grasbrook, where the center of the Olympic Games should take place. The host magazine took
the opportunity and made an impression of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.

In the referendum of the electorate voted with 51.6 percent against an application of the city. The turnout was 50.1 percent.
